Community Group Values

Community Group Misson Statement:
To provide a predictable environment where participants experience Authentic Community & Spiritual Growth.

Community Group Values
While prayer & discussion of curriculum are key elements of a Community Group, the driving force behind the group is the building of relationships.

Authenticity
The atmosphere of a Community Group should encourage openness and transparency among members.  This is an environment where people should feel free to be themselves.

Confidentiality

For authenticity to occur, members must be able to trust that issues discussed with a Community Group are not to be shared outside of the group.

Respect

Group members should never say anything that will embarrass their spouse or members of the group.

Availability
A primary responsibility of community is to prioritize for specific relationships.  This requires a willingness to be available to meet each other’s needs.

Multiplication

Group members recognize that one of the goals of their group is to start a new group within 12-18 months.  This allows others to experience the Community Group relationship.

What Is A Community Group?

What is a Community Group?

At Lakeshore, we feel life is done better in circles than rows. Community groups are groups of 8-12 people who gather around their identity in Jesus to grow in Christ, care for one another, and join God on mission in the world. Community groups meet 2-4 times a month, typically at homes in the area. To join a community group, sign up on the connection card, or contact the church office at This email address is being protected from spambots. Welcome to Children's Ministries

"Let the children of this world come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God." - Mark 10:14

I would like to welcome you and your child to Lakeshore Fellowship.  It is our desire to have a children's ministry that is pleasing to God, unites families, and helps children develop to become fully devoted followers of Jesus.

Please call if there is anything we can do to assist you or if you have any questions regarding our Children's Ministry program.

Nursery Care

The nursery ministry desires to provide a safe, loving environment for children, so that parents can feel comfortable as they attend worship. It is located in the ARK and is open during our 10 am worship services for ages birth - 36 months.

Kidz Connection for children Preschool & Kindergarten meet in the Preschool Room, while 1st-4th graders meet in the ARK. We have a paging system in the event you are needed during services. We also have a private room in the nursery for nursing mothers; equipped with speakers in which to hear all that is going on in the Worship Center.

Welcome to Kidz Connection

Every Sunday Birth - 4th Grade during the 10 AM Worship Service. We welcome kids to join their parents for the worship songs at the beginning of the service, then parents should stop at the desk to sign their children in. All children should have a name tag and parents will be given a security number. In the event you are needed, that number will appear at the top of the screens in the Worship Center. Please make sure to show your security card to the desk attendant before entering to pick up your child.

Thank you for allowing us to serve you and your child(ren).

Kids have a great time experiencing Jesus. They experience solid Biblical learning through extraordinary creativity and fun!

Engaging the whole child—heart, soul, mind and strength
The goal is to experience the love of Jesus in such a way that a child will love God with their whole person:  heart, soul, mind and strength.

Open the Soul:  Jesus-Centered
A relationship with Jesus is what changes our lives. Jesus-centered discipleship continually invites children into that relationship. Both the Old and New Testaments point to Jesus as our Rescuer.

Teach the Mind:  Learn the Bible
Children use their Bibles with the inductive Bible study technique. Observation questions:  “What does it say?” Interpretation questions:  “What does it mean?”  Application question:  “What does it mean to me?”

Involve the Body:  Live it out!
Every lesson points to application. Children discuss and practice ways to live the presence of Jesus to the world.
