Altar Guild - Volunteers needed

We are looking for a few individuals to help us by serving on the Altar Guild in 2021. The duties include setting-up for communion, then stay after the service to clean-up. It does not mean that you must be a part of the distribution of communion, but rather, just taking care of set-up and clean-up. This could be a great opportunity for a community group or a family to serve together one month out of the year. If you have any questions, see Bev Scheil or Jayne Platz (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.).

Men's Huddle

Every Thursday morning at 8:30 am, a great group of guys meet for a time of coffee, fellowship, prayer and projects. These are the gentlemen that make sure the baptismal font is filled, the candles are set for Sunday, chairs/tables are managed as needed, and various other small tasks. Once they complete a few tasks, they meet for a time of fellowship, devotion and prayer. This group is open for any man that would like to join. The group is done generally by 9:30 am. Any questions, please connect with Randy Deater at 616-402-5248.

CRIB Ministry with Gloria Jasperse

Crib Ministry  is a partnership with Positive Options of Grand Haven. Families found to be in need of a crib would be invited to visit Lakeshore Lutheran to pick up a crib. This allows us the opportunity to welcome them to worship and possibly reach out to them for other needs, such as our pantry items. If you are interested to help with this ministry, please contact Gloria Jasperse:  This email address is being protected from spambots. Lakeshore Lutheran is also collecting much needed donations for Positive Options (Lakeshore Pregnancy Center):

Disposable Toiletries (shampoo, baby wash, powder, diaper cream, etc.)
Formula (Gentle Ease - in a purple can)
Large size diapers (size 5 and 6)
Baby Wipes

Please place any donations in the blue bins inside our doors at Lakeshore. Thanks!

Additionally, our local community is blessed to have several life-affirming organizations serving West Michigan.

Lakeshore's Weekly Prayer Theme

Prayer of the Week (Third Sunday of Easter)

O God, through the humiliation of Your Son You raised up the fallen world. Grant to Your faithful people, rescued from the peril of everlasting death, perpetual gladness and eternal joys. We ask this through Jesus Christ, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
