  • Synod Challenge - Matching Funds
    Synod Challenge - Matching Funds

    A Lakeshore Fellowship member has contributed a $2,500 “dollar for dollar” challenge to go directly toward our 2019 Synod commitment. Every dollar contributed would result in two dollars going to Synod up to $5,000. The challenge is ON! We now only need $810 to complete this challenge! If you would like to support this effort, please mark your donation “Synod Challenge”. 

  • Lauren Boehnke's Graduation Open House

    The Lakeshore family is invited to celebrate with Pastor's daughter, Lauren, for her graduation from Grand Haven High School as she prepares to attend Central Michigan University this fall. The open house will be on Saturday, June 29, at the Boehnke's new home at 13477 Ravine View Dr, Grand Haven, from 1 pm - 4 pm.

    "God's Big Story: Our Story" Seminar

    Do you know and understand the single narrative that runs through the Bible from Genesis to Revelation? Or does the Bible seem like a big, strange and confusing book?  Join us for an eye-opening Bible seminar as Pastor Chris walks through the big story of the Bible using a visual Bible timeline to show how our lives are part of God's Story.  "God's Big Story: Our Story" will be presented on Monday, July 29, in the Ark from 6:30 - 9:00 pm. Class materials are $8.00. Sign-up at the Information Desk, on the Connection Card, or by contacting the church office.

    TOWN HALL Meeting - Sunday, August 4th Please plan to stay following service Sunday, August 4th for a brief Town Hall Meeting. The subject of this meeting will include; 2nd quarter financials, RENEW update, and Synod Challenge update. We hope you can join us!

    Worship at Pomona Park Mark your calendars for Lakeshore Fellowship's Worship in the Park on Sunday, August 25th at 10 am. We will join together for worship at Pomona Park instead of in our building (however, our building will be the rain location). Bring your lawn chair or blanket to sit on. We will then have a picnic following service! More details to come soon.

    National High School Youth Gathering 2019 Our students are getting ready for the LCMS National Youth Gathering in Minneapolis, Minnesota, July 11-15, 2019!! Join us in celebrating their journey with a blessing/commissioning service on Sunday, July 7th. We will follow service with a church potluck! Please bring a dish to pass.   • WOMEN'S Fall RETREAT
    WOMEN'S Fall RETREAT Ladies, mark your calendars for September 27-29, 2019. We will be going to Grace Adventures camp for a Women's Retreat! Registration begins now with a $25 security deposit made out to Lakeshore Fellowship. This is a different camp location than last year, and we understand it fills up fast. Please sign-up and pay your deposit soon. There will be a sign-up sheet at the Information Center. Total cost of the weekend is $129, which includes lodging and meals. Speaker this year will be Lynn Cowell with her message to equip women to find their confidence and identity in God's unfailing love rather than their own abilities with practical steps to walk in their calling with confidence. Worship will be led by Danielle DeBone.

  • Seeking Volunteers for Sunday "CONNECT"
    Seeking Volunteers for Sunday "CONNECT" We are seeking volunteers (or groups) to sign-up for hosting a Sunday CONNECT Lunch in 2019! As you may know, Lakeshore Fellowship hosts a time for connecting  following service, once per month (every 2nd Sunday of the month). Please contact the church office if you have questions about what this requires. Available dates (and donation recipients) are as follows; September 8 (LCMS Synod), October 13 (RENEW), November 10 (LCMS Synod), December 8 (CONNECT Fund). Please consider spending one Sunday in 2019 serving your church family!

  • Men's Group - Community Outreach
    Men's Group - Community Outreach Our Men's group will be reaching out to the community to work on a project guided by Love In Action and supported by Thrivent Financial. The project involves building a deck, replacing an entrance door and other small projects for someone in need. The project date is June 22nd starting at 9 am. The group will have enough workers ready to go, but they could use donations to support the building materials or food items for volunteers. If you would like to donate toward this effort, please let the church office know. Any questions, see Bill Spychalski. There are plans for 2 of these projects per year. Thank you to the Men's Group for this hands-on way to love our community with the Love of Christ!

  • Household Necessity Pantry
    Household Necessity Pantry

    The Household Necessities Pantry Give-A-Way occurs several times a year where members of our community in need of personal care items are given shampoo, conditioner, bar soap, liquid dish soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, laundry detergent, toilet paper, trash bags and household cleaner. (Members of Lakeshore; if you are in need of pantry items, you do not need to wait for distribution days!     If you wish to donate to our pantry, mark your donation for "GO Local - Pantry", or you may donate items listed previously. 

    Remaining 2019 Pantry Give-a-ways at 9 am: August 17th (with school supplies), December 14th (with 8:30 am Christmas Breakfast).

    Sandy Christmas is asking for prayers for a Montague family whose daughter Kaitlynn and her father Eric Scott were hit by a farm truck while they were walking, both have passed away. Prayers for those who grieve. 
    Jayne Platz's brother, Paul, postponed surgery until July to insert a permanent stomach portal for future home dialysis. Please also pray for his Bells Palsy to fade away!
    Samantha, prayers for her sister and family as they work through a difficult situation. 
    Bill Boyd, prayers for Patrick Hughes (of Aldea Development) for healing from an illness.

    Do you ever wonder what gift cards are available to purchase through Scrip? Here is a LIST of all available stores. Some are special orders, and would need to be paid for in advance of ordering...so please check with Dana Saunders on Sunday. Proceeds from Scrip sales is now going toward the technology upgrade project in the Worship Center! Help us earn free money to help pay for our project! We order cards from thousands of merchants locally and nationally! You pay nothing extra for the cards, but a small profit from the sale of each card stays at Lakeshore. Scrip will be available on Sundays following service (in the Atrium) and in the church office on Mondays thru Thursdays from 9 am-2 pm.
