October is "Church Worker Appreciation Month"
October is a time to give thanks to our spiritual leaders and those who work so faithfully for the church all year long. Cards of appreciation are welcome for Pastor Chris, the Staff and those in Leadership here at Lakeshore Lutheran! There will be a basket in the Atrium, all month, for notes of encouragement. Thank you for your prayers and kindness. We are in this mission together to build each other up in the teachings of our Lord.

Sunday
As we wrestle with how Christians should engage in politics, what is the relationship between our living under the laws of our government - like paying taxes - and our living in obedience to God's Word under the reign of Jesus as Lord? Are they separate parts of our life, or do they overlap in some way?
Join us this Sunday as we continue our series, Following King Jesus as Exiles in Babylon, with the message, "Jesus Subverts the Empires of Man," based on Matthew 22:15-22. The other Scripture readings are from Isaiah 40:15-17,21-26 and Romans 13:17.
