Sunday's Messages

Sunday, November 23rd

More and more people, especially young people, are living with an anxious dread about the future - the state of our economy, our politics, and our well-being as a society. As followers of Jesus, we may feel the same concerns and anxieties about the future course of society. Be we also live in the light of a confident and joyful hope shining on us from the future, heavenly glory that awaits us in Christ Jesus!

Join us this Sunday for our final message in our series, Prepared for the End Times, with our message, "Living in the Hope of Glory," based on Revelation 21-22. The other Scripture readings are from Isaiah 65:17-25; Luke 12:35-40.

Sunday, November 30th

This time of year, the sunlight of the day is getting shorter as the darkness of night grows longer. We can become emotionally weary and even physically tired from the lack of sun. The same is true spiritually. When it feels like the darkness of evil is growing in the world and the light of God's truth seems to be diminishing, we can easily experience a spiritual weariness set in. At times like this, we need the light of God's Word to shine into our darkness!

Join us on this First Sunday in Advent as we begin our new series, A Prophetic Word for the Weary, with the message, "Let Us Walk in the Light of the Lord," based on Isaiah 2:1-5. The other Scripture readings are from Romans 13:8-14 and Matthew 24:36-44.

Kidz Connection

Kidz Connection meets Sundays for PK-5th grade following praise songs. Kids should attend worship until the songs are done, then Pastor will release them to join in the ARK for Kidz Connection. Prayer Requests and Praises

Lakeshore's Weekly Prayer Theme

Prayer of the Week (Final Sunday after Pentecost) 11/23/25

Eternal God, merciful Father, you have appointed your Son as judge of the living and the dead. Enable us to wait for the day of his return with our eyes fixed on the kingdom prepared for your own from the foundation of the world; through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.

Prayer of the Week (First Sunday of Advent) 11/30/25

Stir up your power, O Lord, and come. Protect us by your strength, and save us from the threatening dangers of our sins; for you live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.

Remember in Your Prayers

Prayer update from Doug Blamer: Amber seems to have had successful treatment at the clinic in Mexico. Her tumor has shrunk and, because of having radiation directed very specifically to the area they expect it to shrink more. She has gained some weight, looks much much better and feels like she’s getting stronger. She’ll go back after 3 months for check up. Thank you for continued prayers.

Prayers for Jen Hayes as she needs to find a full-time 3rd shift job and needs help with car repairs.

Additional prayers are appreciated that her treatments will continue to provide healing.
