Sunday's Message

Jesus didn’t come to save us as lone individuals so that we would only have a personal relationship with him. As our risen Shepherd-King, Jesus rescues us from the alienation of sin and restores our relationship with God as he brings us into his family—a flock of fellow sheep!

Join us on this Fourth Sunday of Easter as we continue our series, A Resurrection People of Hope, with the message, "The Shepherd Leads Us in a Flock of Sheep Together," based on John 10:7-16, Acts 2:42-47, and 1 Peter 2:19-25; 4:7-11.

Kidz Connection

Kidz Connection meets Sundays for PK-5^th grade following praise songs. Kids should attend worship until the songs are done, then Pastor will release them to join in the ARK for Kidz Connection. (Activity bags are available for kids that want to stay in worship with their families.)

Nursery

Our Nursery is staffed on Sunday mornings. The room is also open for parents to change diapers or to have a place to nurse while still being able to listen to the sermon via the in-room speaker system. ARK Encounter/Creation Museum Trip September 4-6

If you have ANY interest in going as a group to visit the ARK Encounter and Creation Museum in Northern Kentucky the weekend of Labor Day 2026...Please email the church office at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. 

Logistics are being worked on, but for now we simply want to know how many would like to go.

We are looking at leaving early on Friday, September 4th, stopping for lunch, then arriving at the Creation Museum for the afternoon/evening. We would stay in a hotel then come back to the ARK Encounter early Saturday. That evening there will be a free concert featuring Christian artist; Jeremy Camp!

We will travel back to Michigan on Sunday, September 6th. Cost for admission to both the ARK Encounter & Creation Museum: Adults $110; Adults (60+) $100; Children (11-17) $60; Children 10 or under are free!

Then, there will be the cost of transportation, lodging & food.

We can try to carpool and get special hotel rates and group ticket rates...but for now we want to know how many want to go!

TETELESTAI Campaign

Have you heard about the TETELESTAI Campaign going on right now at Lakeshore Lutheran Fellowship? Tetelestai in Greek means "It is finished" and was the final word of Christ when dying on the cross. He completed the work of salvation! We at Lakeshore want to "complete" payment of our mortgage - early! How early? This depends on the extra "blessings" of contributions to this fund. We are now accepting donations marked "Debt Reduction". Thank you!

After the mortgage has been paid off, we will continue the TETELESTAI Campaign thru 2028. This campaign will allow us to invest in much-needed facility improvements; including technology, HVACs and bring our kitchen up to code so we can better serve the community. You will be hearing more about the opportunity to make a formal commitment to the campaign, but for now...please consider making a special one-time donation toward paying off our mortgage. Our approximate net payoff is currently around $50,000.

CREW Middle/High school - weekly on Sundays

 CREW (Middle & High Schoolers) meets Sundays following service until 1 pm in the Youth Room. Free lunch provided.

Young Adult Community Group (ages 18-28)

Attention Young Adults...Join Mike Dorman & Joe Kovacs as they co-lead this Young Adult community group. This group meets on 1st and 3rd Mondays at 6:30 pm in the Prayer room. Joining a Community Group at Lakeshore Lutheran Fellowship is an amazing way to connect with our church family and its community! Many of these groups meet in homes either weekly/bi-monthly/monthly to connect with other Christians, offering a way to meet others, pray for each other and spend time in God’s word together. Women's Fellowship Hour - Weekly on Wednesdays

Women’s Fellowship Hour is open to all women on Wednesdays in the Prayer Room at 1 pm. Come spend time together in community with other Christian women to support each other and to pray. Questions? Women's Picnic in the Park

Mark your calendars to attend the Women's Picnic in the Park at Pomona Park on Monday, August 24th from 5-7 PM. This will be a potluck, so please bring a dish to share. Plates, napkins, silverware, and beverages will be provided. There will be a craft and lots of fun! The sign-up sheet will be coming in June, but for now just mark your calendars.   

Men's Huddle - Weekly on Thursdays

Every Thursday morning from 8:30-9:30 am, a great group of guys meet for a time of coffee, fellowship, prayer and projects. They make sure the baptismal font is filled, the candles are set for Sunday, chairs/tables are managed as needed and various other small tasks. Once completed, they meet for a time of fellowship and prayer. This group is open for any man that would like to join. Any questions, please connect with Randy Deater at 616-402-5248.

Men's Prayer Breakfast and Bible Study - Monthly

Meets every second Saturday of the month in the Atrium. Come anytime between 7–7:30 am for breakfast and then 7:30-8:30 am is the study & prayer time. All men are welcome to join Saturday, May 9th! Any questions, please call Randy Deater at 616-402-5248.

Altar Guild Volunteers

If you are looking for a way to serve our church family, please consider volunteering with the Altar Guild. This "behind the scenes" effort comprises of set-up and clean-up for Holy Communion. Camp Restore Detroit

Camp Restore Detroit Mission trip will be July 26-31. This trip will be for all ages. Our youth plan to attend. Cost is $340 for lodging, meals and a tee shirt. A deposit of $100 is due to sign up. Supper House

On the second Monday of each month the members of Lakeshore Lutheran Fellowship provide volunteers and funding to feed hungry guests at Supper House located in Muskegon Heights. To support this mission or to serve, please call Randy Deater at 616-402-5248.

Weekly Financial Report

Did you know...Individuals age 59 1/2+ can make distributions from an IRA account? For those currently taking a "required minimum distribution" (RMD), there are added tax benefits.  Starting in 2026, you may make a "qualified charitable distribution" (QCD) of up to $111,000.00 from your IRA and pay ZERO TAX, provided gifts are a direct transfer to Lakeshore Lutheran from your financial institution. These distributions also qualify as part or all of your RMD requirement. The may even lower your modified adjusted gross income (MAGI), which can help avoid higher Medicare Part B premiums and other income-based limits.

Local Lutheran Golf League (Men & Women)

Are you looking for a West Michigan Lutheran Golf League? Zion Lutheran has invited the LCMS churches in our area to join them! The season will be played at Three Fires Golf Course at US 31 & Port Sheldon Road. League begins May 31st. They will have 6 Sunday dates to play (5/31, 6/14, 6/28, 7/12, 7/26, 8/9). End of season scramble will be 8/23. Season fees are as follows; Walking $162 (9-holes), Riding $210 (9-holes with cart), year end scramble to be paid individually. All fees need to be paid in full prior to first tee off. Play begins at 3 PM. Should you choose, you will be allowed 1/2 off range balls (on day of league play) and only pay $15 for 9-hole pre-play (on day of league play). Governance Ministry Board meetings

Did you know that our Governance Ministry Board meetings happen monthly on the 2nd Tuesday at 6:30 pm. Anyone is welcome to attend a meeting, but you first need to alert the Chairperson, one week prior to the meeting, letting them know what your concerns might be and how much time you may require at the meeting. Here's the Scoop...Buying Scrip helps us earn free money! 
Scrip allows us to order cards from thousands of merchants locally and nationally! You pay nothing extra for the cards, but a small profit from the sale of each card stays at Lakeshore.
Scrip will be available on Sundays following service (in the Atrium) and in the church office on Mondays thru Thursdays from 9 am-2 pm.
